The plane just touched down, and Dan The Man is back in Florida after a spending a week in Tennessee. I’ll have more on that next week, but here are three quick facts you can count on being asked during trivia tonight:

  • In 1999, Cher became the oldest female artist to have a No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100. She was 52.
  • Because of the large number of men away from home fighting the Civil War, 1864 was the first year that a majority of state began allowing absentee ballots.
  • Originally sung by Ritchie Valens, “La Bamba” was the first song with Spanish lyrics to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 when it was remade by Los Lobos in 1987.

Tonight’s beer special is Kronenbourg 1664 – $3.50 for a pint!

Dan The Man Trivia begins 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday at the Black Swan Tavern, located at 118 S. Park Ave. in Historic Downtown Sanford. Join your friends and neighbors for Sanford’s original Trivia Night!
