Interesting article in the Houston Chronicle today about President Obama’s daily schedule. I’m surprised the White House receives on average 40,000 letters each day, given the widespread use of e-mail. According to Pingdom, a Swedish-based company that monitors Web sites and servers (and has a pretty cool name), about 210 billion e-mails were sent per day during 2008. Pingdom estimates that 70 percent of those e-mails are some form of spam. Man that’s a lot of outdated jokes and pleas from orphaned Nigerian princes in need of assistance to keep the rebels from stealing the late king’s riches.
